Blank apparel 5 challenges

Sustainability Sustainability is no longer optional, but it remains a balancing act. What makes it a challenge, is the growing number of certificates. It’s hard to understand the criteria and differences between all the labels and certificates. Greenwashing and lack of transparency only make matters worse. Plus: sustainability means different things to different people. It’s a challenge to keep up, and communicate the differences to customers. Artificial Intelligence AI is creating new challenges, as customers arrive with increasingly ambitious concepts that are not always technically feasible. Managing customer expectations is becoming part of the job. Foreign competition Price pressure remains intense, particularly from China where customers can order apparel for a fraction of the price. Sometimes the quality can be surprisingly good, but it can just as easily be a let-down. You never know in advance. People are often dissatisfied with the value for money, the inconsistent quality and the delivery speed (or lack thereof). Customers often return after discovering that the cheapest option is not always the best one. Consistency Most labels struggle with consistency in colour, sizing and fit. The sample can be perfect, but will the thousand pieces be identical after production? These differences in delivery batches can be very costly to resellers.

Speed People want to order today and pick up their order tomorrow. Fast delivery is no longer a bonus; it has become an expectation.
