The transition to a uniform global Russell Athletic® identity will be completed by 2026 across all markets, combining the brand’s American roots with European product quality.

In 2010, Russell reunited its European product portfolio under a single brand name ‘Russell’, streamlining offerings for workwear, leisure and promotional apparel. This move combined heritage textile quality with commercial efficiency, positioning Russell as a best-in-class supplier across business, team and lifestyle segments in Europe. The unification laid the foundation for future innovations in fabric technology and design.

By the 1960s, Russell’s athletic division had grown into the nation’s leading producer of sports uniforms and apparel. In 1962, the company evolved into Russell Mills, Inc., adopting the American Eagle as its new emblem, a bold symbol of strength, freedom and the enduring spirit that continues to inspire Russell and its partners today. The eagle logo honours the American heritage, at the same time reflecting a modern vision on sportswear.

With this evolution comes a refreshed logo, symbolising progress while preserving the trusted quality, craftsmanship and service that have long defined Russell.
