However, digital printing is the next frontier for the textile printing business. That’s where Luna Perich Paglia comes in. She’s a strategic innovation manager at Spreadshirt (part of Spread Group, a global provider of customised fashion). Luna researches bio-based inks from organic, renewable sources. “At Spreadshirt, we were the first on-demand printing company to launch carbon-negative inks, giving us a competitive edge and pushing us towards a more sustainable printing structure,” Luna explains. “One of our most exciting milestones is our pilot project with Living Ink Technologies, where we tested Algae Ink™.
