My love for Liège waffles runs in the family

I’m a huge fan of Liège waffles. I’m Flemish myself, but my grandfather was from Liège which is probably where my love for waffles comes from. I spent many years working in Brazil and even considered starting a business there selling Liège waffles. It didn’t pan out that way though. I still visit São Paulo whenever I can so who knows? Maybe it’ll happen some day. Meanwhile, I indulge in waffles at Gaston, or even better, I make them myself, following my grandfather’s cherished recipe.
